will notify customers of this special coverage on their vehicles (see copy of typical customer letter included with this bulletin – actual divisional letter may vary slightly). GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a “do-it-yourselfer”. They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the tools, equipment, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. Your local GM Dealer.
I have a 2007 check impala everyone wants to charge me outrageous price to try and fix the issue
My family was on the interstate and almost got ran over by a semi the service traction control engine power reduce light came on and dropped my speed to 40
Very disappointed I love my car and can’t afford another one I have a feeling they won’t recall until someone get hurt shaking my head it’s all about the money
Same Place in life Jessica and also a 2007 impala ss.
This problem occurred in Feb 2017 on my 2010 Impala while in Myrtle beach S.C., the day before I was to start for home. (Ontario) I attended a local long time Chev/Cadillac dealer in Myrtle Beach who read my vehicles computer and advised that this particular sensor was faulty and charged me $400.51 U.S. ($538.47 Cdn) to fix my car so I could go home. I was between a rock and a hard spot and was clearly taken advantage of. When I arrived home, I was advised by my local dealer that this problem should have been repaired for FREE. (Special Warranty) As of May 30/17, I, still waiting for my $538.47 refund
I have a 2015 Impala and this is happening. Going to get it fixed and then trade for another vehicle (Not a chevy).
I am having the same issue with my 2009 Buick Allure CXL. Did you get the issues resolved and if so what was the problem?
I have an 2006 Impala with the same problem, GMC just wants to start changing parts could be this could be that. Of course out of warranty and have to pay out of pocket. VERY dangerous and GM should do a recall seems to be a big issue
This malfunction is very serious when it occurs on the freeway as no indication is given to following traffic that you are slowing down. This is my 6 gmc vehicle and this irritant is the most i have ever encountered. garages do not have answer except to charge to use diagnostic meter to clear alarm.
