The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
A dealer may report that there is a large gap between the #5 bow and the rear “tulip” panel when the top is closed and latched. This may cause a sag in the cloth top material, causing the appearance of a loose fit.
Recommendation/Instructions
This condition may have been caused by the topics discussed in PI0378 and/or PI0406. Review the latest revision of PI0378 and PI0406 prior to beginning repairs.
Replace the #5 bow as well as both LH and RH Folding Top Pivot Brackets following the repair procedures in SI.The pivot brackets use an updateddesign which will lessen the chance of damage to the 5th bow/brackets in the future.

It is recommended to view these training items prior to beginning any convertible roof repair for the first time. If you have questions on the Search feature of the GM Training website or are having difficulty locating different courses or online videos please contact the GM Training Help Desk at the number provided on that website.
Immediately following replacement of the #5 bow assembly or any time the top assembly has been removed from the vehicle and prior to cycling the top for the first time, it is imperative that service technicians follow the latest version of PI0406 to ensure that the Folding Top Quarter Outer Drain Panel (water management bag) is not interfering with the top assembly.
Failure to do this may result in repeat damage to the #5 bow/brackets. In the April 2011 Emerging Issues video, there is a segment on inspection and finessing of the Folding Top Quarter Outer Drain Panel (water management bag).

My 2012 Camaro had a gap in the back so I had my rear bow replaced. However, after a few months, the bracket broke again. I do not have the money to fix it again. Is there any other recourse I have? Thank you.
You can ask GM nicely… try couple dealers… But I doubt it they would help you
