Some technicians may notice that the Sill plate lightening is inoperative after installing the LPO
Illuminated Sill Plate kit as per document id: 5400715.
Cause
This may be caused by one of the following reasons:
1) The light sensor needs to see a dark condition. To insure the vehicle is in the night mode,
cover the ambient light sensor, and ensure the headlights tell tale is illuminated on the IPC.
2) The Ambient light sensor setting in personalization under the lighting tab is turned Off. Enable
ambient lighting. See Below
