On a rare occasion, a customer may have a vehicle concern of a vibration at idle in gear or at very low speeds.
Recommendations / Instructions
The technician should inspect for a stray nut or debris such as a rock wedged between the rubber and metal portions of the transmission mount.
This debris can be very difficult to find. The technician may have to use a borescope to locate it.
Loosen the transmission mount fasteners and manipulate the mount to allow removal of the stray debris.
Torque all fasteners back to specification.
If this does not resolve the vibration or debris is not found, follow vibration diagnostics in Service Information.

Please discard PIP5348B. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition / Concern On a rare occasion, a customer may have a vehicle concern of a vibration at idle in gear or at very low speeds. Recommendations / Instructions The technician should inspect for a stray nut or debris such as a rock wedged between the rubber and metal portions of the transmission mount. This debris can be very difficult to find. The technician may have to use a borescope to locate it. See pictures below. Loosen the transmission mount fasteners and manipulate the mount to allow removal of the stray debris. Torque all fasteners back to specification.
