Technician’s may notice that during the installation of the front turbine shaft seals or the rear stator shaft seals for the 8L90 (MQE) automatic transmission the tools listed in SI
cannot be used.
Cause Changes have been made to the turbine shaft and the
stator shaft.
Correction:
Dealers may borrow the prototype turbine shaft and stator shaft tools by contacting Brian Echtinaw
at Bosch at 1- 800-468-6657.
The tools numbers needed are:
DT-50910-3A Turbine Shaft Seal Installer DT-50912-3A Stator Shaft Seal Installer
The production tools will be available for dealer purchase soon.
