Condition	5334406 5334411 Some customers may comment on seeing cracks on the shock tower, near the strut top mount. Some examples are shown in the graphics above. Note: Be sure to inspect additional suspension components and disassemble the tire/ wheel assembly to verify no other components are damaged.
Cause	The cause of the condition may be a hard impact (such as curb or pot hole) that drives a lot of energy up through the strut tower casting, ultimately cracking it.
Correction	To repair this condition, the shock tower must be replaced. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Partial) or Front Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Complete) in SI. Note: Vehicles repaired for the conditions outlined in this bulletin should not be considered warranty. Any warranty claims submitted with these conditions may be debited.
