| Cause: | Misalignment of the seat back latch |
Correction:
Inspect and adjust the rear seat using the information below.
Service Procedure;
Inspect the alignment of the bumpers in the latch in relation to the striker. (Illustration 1 below.)
Illustration #2 below shows both bumpers engaged.
Illustration #3 shows the latch aligned too far right , only one bumper engaged.
Illustration #4 shows latch aligned too far left , only one bumper engaged.
To align the striker to the insulators , loosen the nuts on the studs left and right shown below and move the seat left or right until centered.
Once aligned retorque the nuts on the studs to 45 Nm (33 lbs ft) and verify repair.
