| Condition | Some customers may comment on the vehicle not starting while the theft deterrent message is displayed. During diagnosis, a technician may find DTC P0513 set in the Body Control Module (BCM).
Note: This Theft Deterrent Message will be displayed for a 15 minute interval. After the 15 minutes, the vehicle will start as intended. |
| Cause | This may be caused by Ground 110 being loose. |
Correction
If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, verify that Ground 110 is not loose. Refer to Ground Distribution Schematics G100, G103, G106, G109, G110 and G111 in SI.
- If the ground is found loose, tighten to the following specs:
- RPO LCV – 12 Nm (106 lb in)
- RPO LFX – 9 Nm (80 lb in)
- If the ground is not loose, continue with diagnosis referring to SI.
