| Cause | This condition may be due to the shift tower blocking pin not being fully retracted. |
Correction

Pull the shift tower blocking pin tabs (1) to the fully retracted position.
Service Procedure:

Note: When unblocking the blocking deviceโ(1), a defined snap noise should be audible and a snap effect should be felt.
To unblock the shift control housing, push slightly the selector leverโ(2) backwards and pullโ(arrow) the blocking device away from the shift control housing.
