Rear turn signal inoperative and/or a turn indicator failure message displayed on the DIC.

This may be caused by an internal failure within the rear turn signal socket.

Correction

If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, follow the procedure listed below:

1. Remove the affected turn signal socket from the tail lamp.

2. With the rear turn signal bulb socket removed, visually inspect the socket julian date on the back of the socket as illustrated above.
   • If the julian date is within 15032–15120, replace the affected socket.
   • If the julian date does not fall in between 15032–15120, continue normal diagnosis referring to Service Information.
