Excessive paint chipping on the front lower bed corners of their trucks, as shown below.
Many of these trucks spend a majority of their time on dirt roads or gravel roads
To better protect this area, a bed corner shield has been developed to protect this area. The shield is held on with double back tape. To Install the Bed Corner protector follow the below procedure
- Thoroughly clean the affected area.
- If paint is damaged, the affected areas must be repaired prior to installing the protector.
- Wipe the area where the protector is to be placed with 3M Automotive Adhesion Promoter, 3M P/N 06396

- Locate front center point of protector, holding at a 90 degree to the panel
- Rotate protector inboard and rearward along crease. Press firmly on entire outside surface to secure.
