CauseDamages caused by low temperatures / inappropriate steering oil.
Production SolutionPentosin oil as factory fill as of MY2016.

 

Complaint about damages or leakages at hydraulic parts of the power steering system or malfunction (noise of steering pump/hard to operate) of the system, repair/replace damaged parts according to TIS2WEB instruction and fill the system with Pentosin steering fluid instead of Dextron6 according to the following instruction.

 

  1. Fill steering system with Pentosin.
  2. Start and warm up engine.
  3. Move steering wheel from LH to RH stop 3 times.
  4. Stop engine, extract complete power steering fluid from reservoir with adequate tool.
  5. Repeat step 1. to 4. 2 times.
  6. Top-up steering fluid level finally.
  7. Mark steering fluid reservoir with note “Pentosin” (use label or tag).
