Summary

This Preliminary information communicates to technician’s if they have a low mileage vehicle with an Air Conditioning inoperative condition with a P0534 to inspect the Air Compressor for leak and the possible area of the leak. Once verified of the leak in the compressor area to replace the compressor for the repair.

Condition

No A/C, blows warm air when set to cold, Setting P0534

Condition typically happens under 500 miles. Before adding refrigerant / dye, put car on hoist and remove aero panel from front cradle.

Inspect the ACCM (Air Conditioning Compressor Module or sometimes called Air Conditioning and Drive Motor Battery Cooling Compressor), view the HV connector area for possible POE oil dripping off connector and the case bolt just above compressor.

Cause

Defective ACCM K118 Electric ACCM internal seal, Oil visually leaking above HV connector at case half, see image below.
