Summary
This service bulletin provides a procedure to replace both front door seals to correct a customer concern of Howl, Hoot, or Whistle Type Noise when Driving in Crosswinds.
Condition
Some customers may comment on a noise in high crosswinds originating from the vehicle “A” pillar area.
The noise may be altered or eliminated by folding the mirrors.
Cause
The cause of the condition may be that the door seals are too soft.
Correction
Verify that the doors are within specifications and replace both front door seals with revised seals (weatherstrips) if necessary.

If the vehicle door adjustment is verified to be within the above specifications and the condition is still present, replace the left and right front door weatherstrip. Refer to the correct Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement in SI.
Important: For vehicle Model Year 2020 ONLY: Once the vehicle’s weatherstrips are replaced, re-verify that the vehicle doors are within the above specifications.
