Some customers may also comment that the torque converter doesn’t seem to lock up.
Some technicians may find DTC P0741 (Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) System Stuck
Off) set as an active or history code.

Cause

This condition may be caused by the turbine shaft finish wearing out the turbine shaft
bushing (218) and causing a pressure leak path for the T/C clutch apply.
– The fit of the turbine shaft seal thru the bushing will have excessive clearance.
Correction If the fit of the bushing to turbine shaft is excessive the 4-5-6 clutch housing with turbine
shaft and the pump cover with the turbine shaft bushing should be replaced.
Service Procedure
Refer to 4-5-6 Clutch Overhaul in SI.
