A customer may have a concern with oil consumption. The technician may find DTC P06DD set.
Cause
Camshaft housing (cover) may have a baffle plate weld that is not adequate.
Correction:
Inspect the cam cover label for Julian dates and daily progressive number starting from 39H219 249 1 0098 through 39H219 253 1 0037.
If the serial number is NOT in the range above this PI does not apply. Refer to bulletin 21-NA-272 and SI for appropriate diagnostics.
If the serial number is from 39H219 249 1 0098 through 39H219 253 1 0037 and the customer’s concern is oil consumption:
1) Replace the camshaft housing cover.
2) Replace the #2 glow plug.
