| Condition | Technician’s may find DTCs set after transmission replacement.
Research has found the most common codes that could set after transmission replacement are P0797, P0841, P0863, P0961, P0965 or P2714 but other codes may set. Note: P1790 will always set after the transmission is replaced. Please refer to SI for information on how to address this code. |
| Cause | It has been discovered that when removing the transmission connector from the transmission and temporarily relocating the wiring harness to allow removal of the transmission the TCM X2 connector may crack and cause wiring and connection
concerns. |
Correction:
Note: Do not replace the transmission for any DTCs setting right after the transmission has been replaced.
If root cause of the DTCs setting after transmission replacement is not found using SI diagnostics replace the TCM X2 connector and install all new terminated leads.
