The purpose of this bulletin is to clarify installation
requirements when installing Accessory wheels on
2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD and 2020 GMC Sierra
HD. These models may include tinnerman push nuts on
two of the rear wheel lugs used to retain the rear brake
rotor. GM Accessory wheel part numbers 84040805
and 84040806 DO NOT include a pocket on the
mounting surface to fit over these nuts. Affected wheels
will contain a sticker stating that these push nuts must
be removed.
Note: Installtion of these wheels over Tinnerman/Push
Rotor nuts may create lateral runout, inducing a
vibration.

Prior to installing affected Accessory wheels, the dealer
technician must remove and discard the tinnerman
push nuts (1). Failure to do so may result in unintended
lug nut and wheel loosening.
Once the wheel is installed, the technician should
remove the sticker on the front of the wheel. The sticker
should come off the wheel with little to no residue.
Residual residue can be removed with soap, hot water
and a cotton cloth per the wheel cleaning instructions in
the wheel instruction sheet.
