Model Year 2020 Camaro LT1 — RPO A1V
The purpose of this bulletin is to provide a summary of
the content changes for the MY2020 Camaro.
LT1 Model – RPO A1V (United States
and Canada Only)
The MY2020 Camaro adds the new LT1 model to the
line-up. It is important to understand what this model is
and how to identify it.
The LT1 model is the most affordable V8 sports car on
the market. The LT1 can be visually identified by the
LT1 fender badge, the V8 hood and LT front fascia.
RPO A1V identifies the LT1 model on the vehicle build
record.
The Camaro LT1 was designed for the customer
seeking the V8 performance experience and/or an
affordable V8 car which they can highly customize with
GM Accessories and/or Performance parts.
Important: The LT1 is equipped with an automatic
transmission cooler, however other cooling
features have been removed. Therefore, the LT1
model is NOT track capable.
The LT1 model standard equipment includes the
following:
• 6.2L V8, 455 hp (339.29 kW) Engine — RPO LT1
• 10-Speed Automatic Transmission or 6-Speed

Automatic Transmission 10L60 10-Speed Automatic
New for MY2020, is the addition of the 10L60 10-speed
automatic transmission — RPO MI1, mated with the
3.6L V6 — RPO LGX engine. The 10L60 replaces the
previous 8L45 8-Speed — RPO M5T, automatic
transmission that was available with the 3.6L V6
engine. The 10L60 does not offer the Custom Launch
Control and Line Lock features that are available with
the 10L80 and 10L90 10-speed automatic
transmissions.
Brake Fluid
All MY2020 Camaro’s are produced with DOT 4 brake
fluid. DO NOT use silicone or DOT 5 brake fluids.
Front Fascia Update (SS Model Only)
The SS front fascia update moves the bow tie emblem
to the upper grille. The center bumper beam cover and
pieces under the headlamps are now body color.
Full Display Mirror/Camera — RPO DRZ
(Coupe Only – if Equipped)
The camera for the full display mirror has been moved
from the center spoiler stanchion in MY2019 to the roof
antenna for MY2020. The location change provides a
larger field of vision and also allows it to be offered on
2SS, 3LTand ZL1 models.
Infotainment
The mid-level — RPO IOS and up-level — RPO IOT
radios were updated for MY2020. The updated
infotainment offers more personalized intuitive user
interface through functionality, designed to be similar to
popular apps and smartphones. The user will notice the
following features:
• Ability to view and download apps to the system.
• Access to a catalog of apps through Apps.
• Connected navigation provides real time traffic
and up to date Points of Interest (POI) searches.
• Personalization provides the ability to identify the
user and set up the vehicle based on preferences.
• The system has a faster processor enabling
quicker responses to voice commands.
Tire Fill Alert
Overview
This feature provides visual and audible alerts outside
of the vehicle to help when inflating an underinflated tire
to the recommended cold tire pressure. When the
recommended pressure is reached, the horn sounds
once and the turn signal lamp will stop flashing and
briefly turn solid.
Note: Due to the Tire Fill Alert feature, tire pressure
monitor sensor part numbers changed for MY2020.
Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) Inhibiting
Conditions
The Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) will not
activate the tire fill alert properly under the following
conditions:
• Air pressure from the inflation device is not
sufficient to inflate the tire.
• Interference from an external device or
transmitter.
If the tire fill alert does not operate due to
suspected TPMS interference, move the vehicle
about 3 ft (1 m) back or forward and try again. If
the tire fill alert feature is still not working, use a
tire pressure gauge.
• There is a malfunction in the horn or turn signal
lamps.
• There is a malfunction in the TPMS.
• The TPMS sensor battery is low.
• The TPMS sensor identification code is not
registered to the system.
• Turn signal lamp does not flash within 15 seconds
after starting to inflate the tire, the tire fill alert has
not been activated or is not working.
• When the hazard warning flashers are ON, the tire
fill alert visual feedback will not work properly.
