Energy Summary Pop-up at Key-off 5329250 Energy Display from Leaf Menu Some customers may comment that when the vehicle display is set to metric units of measure, most often seen in Canada, the energy display on the center screen will show 0.2 L / 100 km when no fuel has been consumed. The display can also be configured such that the energy summary pops-up on the center screen for 10 seconds at key-off, making the issue more visible. 5329253 The fuel consumption value will reset every time the battery is fully charged. The instrument cluster display will correctly show an average 0.0 L / 100 km for Trip1 or Trip2 if the trip data is reset during electric vehicle operation. |
Cause | The 2019 Volt has a unit conversion error that affects the metric display. Once fuel starts to be consumed, the conversion will work properly.
The condition only affects the zero fuel used state, which can be common during electric only operation. |
Correction | This is considered a normal vehicle operating characteristic and no software solution is planned at this time. Neither programming, nor part replacement will correct the condition.
Please share this information with the customer, including a copy of this bulletin. |
