This Preliminary information communicates an issues with a SES MIL and DTC P1005. GM Engineering is working to root cause this issue.
Condition
Some customers may comment on a SES MIL. When the vehicle is checked for DTCs, a P1005 will be set in the ECM.
Cause
Under Investigation
Correction:
If no issues are found after performing normal SI diagnostics, technicians are to clear the DTC and perform a road test. If the condition does not return, no further repairs should be made at this time. Do NOT replace the K111
Fuel Pump Driver Control Module as this will not correct the concern.

GM Engineering is working to root cause this issue and when a fix becomes available, this PI will be converted into a bulletin.
