This PI was superseded to update model years and add possible conditions. Please discard PIT5474B.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this
PI.
Condition / Concern
The customer may state there is a Service Engine Soon MIL on, a Service Power Steering message,
loss of power and/or MIL’s on in the IPC. The technician may find codes C0800, U0073, U0102, U0109
and/or U0140 stored.
Recommendations / Instructions
Inspect terminals for circuits 2500 and 2501 at X103 and X106 and the TCCM connector X2 ( the
terminals need to be removed from X2 to test properly ) Testing for oversized or bent terminals.
Inspect Power Steering sub harness between the PSCM and X103 for damage.
Repair per eSI if there is an issue found.

For wiring repairs covered under warranty, please refer to latest version of bulletin 10-00-89- 005
for warranty information on wire/connector repairs.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition
exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be
performed.
