The brake pedal may not raise or seem stuck down after a normal braking event.
The condition may occur in high temperature and humidity conditions and may not be repeatable. Brake lights will remain on and brakes may drag after pedal released. A pop, click or snap noise may be heard when pedal is applied or released.
If concern is intermittent allow the vehicle to idle for 30 minutes on max heat and floor mode to try and induce the concern.
This condition may be due to a bind in the brake pedal pivot bushing.
Replace the brake pedal arm.
Important: Be sure to use the two (2) new retaining clips that accompany the brake pedal arm.
To identify the correct brake pedal arm to order, please reference the Electronic Parts Catalog for the specific vehicle model and model year being serviced

My buick regal 2011 is also having this ‘brake issue’ sticking and not releasing properly……any solution? My mechanic just ordered a new brake pedal assembly…..about $115.00……but his labor will be another $250.00…..so all in all, what the heck is going on here??
Same problem. Opel Insignia 2.0T 2011
What all did you change to fix you’re problem
It happened to my 2011 Buick Regal Turbo with 59000 miles. I wrote to GM and they told me I was on my own. It cost me $587 with the part. This is a safety issue as if the uninformed drove the car when the brakes were sticking, it would burn them up. I told GM they should examine the old part if they were interested. They are not interested until forced by the government or if enough people are injured.
Hello, I truly hope this reaches you. I’m having the same problem with my 2011 buick regal and I’ve gone through the same motions with the dealership. I would pay anything just to know what needs to be done. If you could contact me at Harleyguthriemusic@gmail.com with what you had to do to fix it, I would be incredibly grateful.
Thanks for your time.
