Page 2 September, 2022 Bulletin No.: 22-NA-060 Cause This condition may be caused by the left or right side rocker cover insulator. – For a short period of time the insulator was manufactured without the fiberglass insulation (as indicated in the graphic below) that is used to reduce the normal engine valvetrain noise. This was due to an unavoidable supply shortage issue. Without this fiberglass insulation an increase in valvetrain noise on that bank may be noticeable. 6018737 Correction If you encounter a vehicle with this condition and the noise is unacceptable to the customer, you can install a service cover which has the insulation attached to the insulator to help reduce the valvetrain noise. Service Procedure Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement – Left Side in the Service Manual and/or Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement – Right Side in the Service Manual.
