Condition
The vehicle may come in with a P0300 – P0308 set with a bent push rod that leads to a Collapsed lifter or a lifter that come apart.
Cause
Internal lifter concern.
Correction:
If service information leads to a collapsed lifter and/or lifter has come apart including a bent pushrod it will be necessary to follow the replacement guideline.

The vehicle may come in with a P0300 – P0308 set with a bent push rod that leads to a Collapsed
lifter or a lifter that come apart.
Internal lifter concern.
Correction:
If service information leads to a collapsed lifter and/or lifter has come apart
including a bent pushrod it will be necessary to follow the replacement guideline
below.
If vehicle has under 8000 miles (12,875km) and is within the breakpoint window it will
be necessary to replace all lifters and guides on both banks. If vehicle has over
8000 miles (12,875km) and is within the breakpoint window it will be necessary to
replace the lifters and guides on the effected bank only not both.
Breakpoint for the models effected September 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021
When replacing the lifter and guide please indicated which lifter has failed by marking
its location on the guide for inspection (please do not cover the date code). The
parts will be requested back.
Note: It is not necessary to replace the oil control solenoid for this failure mode.
If the vehicle does not fall into the breakpoint window, please follow the latest
version of 19-NA-218..
