Condition
Some customers and/or technicians may comment on a small amount of grease seepage from a brass or gold colored fitting located at the bottom of the strut assemblies. Note: At first glance, this may appear to be a fluid leak.
The 5th generation Camaro Z/28, as well as the 6th generation Camaro ZL1 1LE, employ a different type of strut than other traditional car and truck lines. These struts are specifically designed and tuned for the precise vehicle handling that these vehicles are capable of.
Cause
This condition may be caused by a vent allowing breathing within the damper body. There is no oil within this chamber but there is some grease on the inner walls of the housing that keeps the insert tubing lubricated against the component’s bushings. As air enters and exits this vent, it is normal to have small amounts of this grease exit the strut. This is actually part of the natural operation of these struts.
Correction
No strut replacement is required for this condition listed above.

- No adaptors required
- Heavy duty acme thread
- Versatile mounting options
- Multi-position hooks
- All steel construction
- 4.5 Ton Hydraulic Load Capacity: The hydraulic jack has a 4.5 ton load capacity, and the rated compression force is 1 ton. Our coil spring compressor is great for various vehicle types, including sedans, SUVs, off-road vehicles, and pickup trucks. Perfectly suited for spring disassembly and shock absorber maintenance.
- Versatile Clamping Options: Our spring compressor comes with two clasps for the utmost versatility. The small spring clasp accommodates sizes from 4.3" to 5.1", while the big spring clasp caters to 5.5" to 6.7" sizes. With a maximum compression stroke of 12.6"/320 mm and featuring 8 positioning holes on the column, you can easily adjust the clasp position to match different spring heights.
- Stable Suspension: Prioritizing safety and convenience, our coil spring compressor features a stable suspension system that prevents bouncing due to spring tension. It halts at the current position and only descends slowly when you engage the pressure release valve.
- Safety Assurance: The strut spring compressor provides multiple-layered protection: a 39.4" extended safety chain to secure the springs, an additional stable locking mechanism, and a safety tongue on the clasp to prevent spring detachment accidents. The H-shaped stable base ensures minimal wobbling during operation. For added security, two pre-drilled holes allow you to anchor the compressor to the ground.
- Premium Material Construction: The hydraulic jack boasts a leak-proof hydraulic pump and a dampened hydraulic rod for seamless lifting and lowering. The Q235 reinforced steel column and the ductile cast iron clasps provide unparalleled durability to withstand extreme pressures, ensuring heavy-duty springs without risk of breakage or bending.
- VERSATILE- Handles a wide variety of springs including Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, RAV4, F150, GM pickups and SUVs, Chrysler Minivans and Chevy Camaros without needing additional adaptors
- ADJUSTABLE- Works on spring diameters from 3.5" to 11.5", maximum spring compression capacity 3,000 lbs.
- PORTABLE- Included wheeled cart for easy movement around the shop
- EFFICIENT- Multi-position upper spring hooks for flexibility to fit "Factory" coil spring configurations
- SAFE- The proper tool to safely compress coil springs on automobile struts
- Adjustable safeguard brace prevents accidental release of spring under load and enables the removal parts of the tool to always operate in parallel.
- Rugged frame reduces flexing, bending, and warping even under high tension, each pair of the spring compressor tool can withstand a load of up to 2645lbs(1200 kg).
- Ideal solution for a variety of vehicles, including trucks and large sedans. Avoid strut compressors with flimsy hooks creating slippage and other safety problems.
- This heavy-duty spring compressor tool has a wide jaw capacity of 2.7-10.6 inches (70-270 mm) and an adjustable holder suitable for 8.6-12.2 inches (220-310 mm) diameters coil.
- The screw compressor can hold the spring tightly by rotating the easy to use hexagonal nut. Use 19 mm hex socket or wrench. Always grease threads before use to avoid stripping.
- Professional Multi Use MacPherson Interchangeable Fork Spring Compressor Set
- Compresses all types of MacPherson style coil springs front and rear.
- Includes three sets of jaws: 2 each of, 65-125mm, 88-160mm and 126-212mm
- The coil spring compressors are manufactured under very strict quality control and are approved to endure extremely high loads.
- SGS Test Report: The Max Force 4487 KG. No impact wrench! Hand ratchet only.
- Brand: HTTMT
