Small gas engines (SGE) May only have the engine oil level over full and have a fuel odor. It will
be found that the Engine oil is diluted with fuel.
Cause
This concern is caused by marshalling the vehicle around the lot before it is sold and/or short
driver cycles.
Correction:
Record the fuel trims and oil level.
Change the oil and filter, drive the vehicle and evaluate the fuel trims and record.
Note: Do not replace the fuel pump for this condition
If the fuel trims return to normal return the vehicle to the customer.
If the issue is not corrected by the instructions listed above, follow published SI diagnostics for
the concern.
This PI will be updated as information is gathered.
