This condition may be caused by the auxiliary temperature valve, internal to the A/C distributor case, being fractured.

Note: The technician may find the pivot for the temperature valve has pulled away from the actuator motor (2).
Verify if the temperature valve is working properly:
• If it has been validated that the rear temperature valve is not working properly, replace the A/C distributor case.
• If the temperature valve has been found to be working correctly, refer to SI for further diagnostics.

Important: Wiring harness length has the potential for the Upper DAT (1) and EAT (2) connectors to plug into the wrong sensor. To avoid miswiring the replacement case, you should mark each of the temperature sensor wires and note their location prior to removal. Confirm that the Purple/Black wire connector (3) goes to the Upper DAT, and the Gray/Black wire connector (4) goes to the EAT.
Replace the A/C distributor case. Refer to Air Distributor Case Replacement in SI.
