Condition/Concern
Some customers may comment on a squeak and/or groan noise from the brake pedal area upon brake pedal application.
The noise may be more predominant when outside ambient temperatures are warmer and/or after repeated use of the brake pedal.
Important: This condition does not affect the brake pedal performance or function.
This may be caused by the valve assembly in the brake booster being misaligned, causing the grease on the internal mating seal to be wiped away over time and creating a noise.
Recommendation/Instructions
If you experience a vehicle with the above condition, replace the power vacuum brake booster. Refer to Power Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement in SI.
