Page 4 May, 2021 Bulletin No.: 21-NA-094
2. Inspect connector X103 for possible terminal
corrosion.
• If corrosion IS noted at connector X103, replace
the connector as necessary. Refer to the
appropriate connector replacement procedure
in SI. After completion of the connector repair,
continue ahead to step # 3.
• If NO corrosion is noted at connector X103,
continue ahead to step # 3.
3. Access the hood switch connector (X102):
5795586
3.1. Remove the left horn (2). Refer to Horn
Replacement in SI.
5795588
3.2. Test the auxiliary hood latch release switch
with an ohmmeter. The switch should be open
when it’s not pressed and resistance should
be no more than .2 ohm, when the switch is
pressed.
• If the auxiliary hood latch release switch
passes the test, continue ahead to step
# 3.3.
• If the auxiliary hood latch release switch
fails the test, replace the switch. Refer to
Auxiliary Hood Latch Release Switch in SI.
After switch replacement, continue ahead
to step # 3.3.
3.3. Reinstall the left horn. Refer to Horn
Replacement in SI.

- STOPS RUST AND CORROSION with unique Polar Bonding and Fluid Thin Film Coating (FTFC) Technologies
- BREAKTHROUGH LUBRICANT sticks to metal like a magnet to resist displacement by friction or pressure. Lubricates under extreme loads and high temperatures.
- AMAZING PENETRANT & ANTI-SEIZE penetrates faster and further to break free rusted nuts, bolts and fittings within minutes
- SAFE ON ELECTRONICS displaces moisture and protects electronics with a self-healing high dielectric Fluid Thin Film Coating that won’t interfere with circuits
- ZERO VOC minimal environmental impact formula
- SHIELD YOUR VEHICLE FROM RUST: CorrosionX HD forms a thick, self-healing protective film that stops corrosion in its tracks. Resists washout from rain, seawater, and pressure washing, ensuring long-lasting protection far superior to traditional rustproofing solutions.
- EXTEND EQUIPMENT LIFESPAN: Keep your marine, industrial, and agricultural equipment running longer with advanced anti-corrosion technology. Polar Bonding provides deep protection against rust, electrolysis, and galvanic corrosion, even in extreme conditions.
- TOUGH YET FLEXIBLE DEFENSE: Unlike wax-based corrosion inhibitors, this anti-rust spray stays active and resilient, adapting to movement without drying, hardening, or cracking.
- SAFE FOR METAL & ELECTRONICS: Protect your equipment from rust without damaging sensitive electronics. Ideal for boat trailers, RV slide-outs, winch gears, wire ropes, and more, this coating creates a strong, long-lasting barrier against corrosion while keeping everything running smoothly.
- LONG-LASTING PROTECTION: Provides up to 5 years of indoor protection and 2 years outdoors; ensures maximum rustproofing for harsh environments; easy application via spray, brush, wipe, or dip.
