Summary
This service bulletin provides a procedure to replace both front door seals to correct a customer concern of Howl, Hoot, or Whistle Type Noise when Driving in Crosswinds.
Condition
Some customers may comment on a noise in high crosswinds originating from the vehicle “A” pillar area.
The noise may be altered or eliminated by folding the mirrors.
Cause
The cause of the condition may be that the door seals are too soft.
Correction
Verify that the doors are within specifications and replace both front door seals with revised seals (weatherstrips) if necessary.
Service Procedure
If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, verify that the vehicle’s door is within the below specifications and adjust as necessary.
