General Motors Product Quality Center part restriction on the 10L80 and 10L90 automatic
transmissions RPOs MF6 and MGL has ended.
We would like to thank all dealers who participated in this restriction for their cooperation.
These transmission assemblies can now be repaired ordering parts through the regular GM CCA parts
process and utilizing repair procedures covered in Service Information.
Use the vehicle identification number (VIN), SI, and the GM Electronic Parts Catalog to determine
the correct parts to order to perform the repairs as needed.

The 10L90 and 10L80 10 Speed Automatic Transmissions are on restriction through GM PQC as part of our ongoing quality improvement efforts to assist Engineering with product concern identification effective on 07/20/18.
Your cooperation with this program is greatly appreciated.
Note: The 10L90 and 10L80 10 Speed Automatic Transmissions with the RPOs listed above are now fully serviceable. Follow published SI diagnostics and procedures to complete repairs on the transmission.
If your diagnosis has led to replacement of the restricted 10L90 or 10L80 10 Speed Automatic Transmission assembly, please contact the Product Quality Center (PQC) by opening a new case via Dealer Case Management (DCM) From the DCM home page, click on “New PQC Case” found on the Technical Assistance tab.
Then in Global Connect click on the Support/Chat tab, TAC-PQC Tab, PQC -Parts Restrictions Templates to Download the appropriate PQC -Parts Restrictions Template and save a copy to your computer, You can attach a copy of the template to your PQC Case.
Note: (Do Not clear any DTCs prior to contacting the PQC).
