You can use an extender, it's not recommended to use them with child seats.

I own a 2016 GMC Terrain Denali. The buckle on the driver's seat belt is on too short a strap and is very difficult to use, especially when I am wearing a jacket. My wife just bought an Audi and I was impressed with the ease of using the seat belt. So, I looked into getting an extender. . You suggest that an extender should not be used if it is merely difficult to buckle the seat belt. Adding to the problem, your shortest extender is too long to meet my needs. I am mostly satisfied with my Terrain but this design defect is a major irritant. Do you have a suggestion as to how I should deal with my problem?
