My water pump went out without any warning (2011 gmc acadia) I came back from vacation no issues the next day. I get engine hot ac off warning light. I pull over and check my reserve tank, its halfway full. I sit for an hour jump in the car. I have a reduced power warning and now my engine light is on, I drive about a block and engine overheated comes on. I assumed it was thermostat. I get call a tow truck, get my vehicle home and change out the thermostat. I checked the old one in boiling water and it never opened. Start my vehicle same issue drive around the corner vehicle tempnis rising fast. Now I have to replace the water pump. My question is , of this is a known issue why hasn't there been a recall on this issue
