Good evening,
I just wanted to say that this 14801 recall ruined my 2013 Cruze. After driving for nearly 40 years, this was the very first new car I ever purchased, in December 2013. I couldn't have asked for a better running car for the first 18 months. It was great! I took it in for this recall, and it immediately began running like it was starving for fuel. Most noticeable when going up a grade at about 45 mph. I keep easing the gas down, and it does nothing. Once it does finally downshift, it surges like a car with a clogged fuel filter. I've returned to the dealer about it twice. They agree there's a problem, but if the Check Engine light is not on, they say there's nothing they can do.
I think my business with General Motors will return to just being the occasional visit to the Parts Department.
